About me

Hi, I'm a robotics engineer with a passion for creating innovative technology. I enjoy tinkering with electronics and doing fun side projects.

Apart from robotics, I enjoy hanging out in the nature, such as camping or hiking.

Education

Sep 2019 - May 2023

University of Rochester - Rochester, NY

BS Biomedical Engineering

Minor Electrical and Computer Engineering

GPA: 3.83/4.00

  • Robotics Club

  • Society of Asian Engineers and Scientists

  • Biomedical Engineering Society

Experiences

Jan 2023 - May 2023

Capstone Project - Rochester, NY

Software Lead

  • Worked with a team of 5 engineering students to develop a visualization-aid for a wheelchair-bound client.

  • Led the software development of the primary GUI application using C++, OpenCV, and Qt. The application performed real-time image processing on live video streams captured by three cameras attached to the wheelchair.

  • Performed code profiling to identify and improve performance bottlenecks so the GUI program can run reliably for 8 hrs/day on an Nvidia Jetson Nano. The program’s CPU usage was reduced by over 50% through profiling.

June 2022 - Aug 2022

DEKA Ressearch & Development- Manchester, NH

Test Engineering Intern

  • Developed an electro-mechanical fixture to automate the durability testing of a medical device prototype.

  • Wrote a state machine C++ program to move the stepper motors and linear actuators in the correct sequence to perform the durability testing. The fixture sped up the durability testing phase by over 30%.

  • Improved a data analysis tool in Python for analyzing medical device test logs from an excel file by fixing runtime errors and adding 2 new features to extract insightful information from the data.

Sep 2021 - Dec 2022

Robotics Club - Rochester, NY

Software Developer

  • Worked with 20+ engineering students to develop an autonomous lunar rover for NASA’s robotics competition.

  • Contributed to developing the code that enabled our lunar rover to operate autonomously using C++ and ROS.

  • Modeled the competition arena and benchmarked the performance of our robot in Gazebo simulation.

  • Held regular meetings with the electrical and mechanical team to coordinate design decisions.
